The German airline Lufthansa is resuming flight operations to Pakistan after 13 years, a peak-level business delegation from Germany well informed the Board of Investment (BoI) on Tuesday in his meeting.
Schlagheck said to resume this airline during a meeting with secretary Board of Investment (BOI) Fareena Mazhar.
To explore investment avenues, a delegation of German businessmen would visit Pakistan next week.
The airline had ended its operations due to some commercial reasons. They will provide passenger flights in this resume . And also willing to start cargo flights, the delegation said.
It was accounted for that the designation would visit Islamabad and Karachi to cooperate with financial backers from the private area just as top government authorities. During the gathering, BOI Secretary Fareena Mazhar said that she was anticipating facilitating and working with the assignment every way under the sun.
She also stated that the federal government is introducing reforms for foreign investment in Pakistan for Highlighting the certain number of opportunities in the South Asian country, she said that regulatory reform is a priority area for this government, and investor facilitation is being paid special attention in it.
BACKGROUND
The German Airline Lufthansa and a member of the Star Alliance Network relaunched operations in Pakistan in 2007 after it rolled back its operations from the country in 1998 due to some commercial reasons. In October 2008, the German flag carrier announced ending all its flight operations in Karachi and Lahore for these irrelevant commercial reasons.
Now the country is safe and they are going to start the new flight operations from Pakistan. And also the government of Pakistan has changed. There is no corruption in Pakistan in this government so now they have no commercial issues and can start their airline again.
